Pretty hectic couple of weeks here… After I quit my job I’ve embarked in a fantastic and yet dangerous period of holidays that will hopefully enable me to recover from shitty 2009 and prepare for the upcoming professional challenge. Two weeks of dolce fare niente, travelling and eating. Cool, huh? Errm… not quite. Not if you have a thesis to write, coursework to do and lectures to revise before the exams in late May…

The problem with being on holidays is that, the less you have to do, the less you want to do. And that’s exactly what’s happening to me. I wake up late, have my breakfast late, have lunch late and then I start thinking about doing some proper work. Tell you something, PhD student life ROCKS! If it wasn’t for the crap pay I would definitely consider it… But, like everything in life, too much of a good thing is bad for you – event doing nothing.

So, I’m in the library right now trying to catch up the time I lost doing nothing by writing a post about wasting time on stuff and trying to catch up with it... I need a new brain, that’s what I need.

tão típico, meu caro. podes tirar a pessoa de Portugal, mas não podes tirar a tuguice da pessoa :)
